Get to know the Owners

We want to thank you for considering sponsorship or adoption.  All horses are available to sponsor, but only available horses are available for adoption.  Horses that are listed on the Sanctuary page are not available for adoption due to special needs. 

Sponsorship is currently $300/ month. This helps pay for feed, and care for the horse.

Adoption fee is $ 1,800.00 total.  This included the first month sponsorship $300.00 and adoption fee of $1,500.00; for a total of $1,800.00.

All Adoption are under contract with Far From Perfect Mustang rescue and will need approval. 

We appreciate all donations.

All tack and horse grooming supplies that are donated should be in good working order.  While we are grateful to receive donations of tack, it helps the rescue that this tack is in good condition.  If you have questions about the tack, please bring it by the rescue and ask for Joel or Annette to take a look at what you would like to donate.  Thank you for thinking of us. 

Owner surrender is a very hard topic of discussion for both the owner and the rescue. One is having to let go of a horse and another is deciding if they have room for the horse, while keeping the needs of the rescue first.

If you are considering surrendering your horse, we would like you to keep the following in mind- 

1.  Is my horse currently in a good quality of life situation, do they have any medical needs I cannot afford?  Are they age appropriate for adoption?

2.  Am I surrendering my horse due to bad behavior, poor manners or unattainability and would this horse be safe to adopt to another family?

3.  Is my horse currently at the end of their life and I am finding it hard to humanly make the next decision for them?
